According to NFL.com, the NFL's request to expidite the appeal of the Williamses has been denied by the Minnesota court of appeals. Once again they can hold off their suspensions for testing positive for a banned substance. Now many will argue about what it was that they tested positive for and the circumstances surrounding it, but I see it as an attempt to not take responsibility for their positive test results. I do not give either of these guys any sympathy, even though I am a huge fan of ... Read More

Even though I am very saddened by the loss of my beloved Celtics to the Lakers, I have to admit that it was one of the best finals that I have ever seen. I tip my hat to both teams for making this one of the most memorable series that I have had the pleasure to experience. Both teams should be proud of what they have given to fans across the country. Unfortunately this years upcoming free agency is probably going to mean that one of these franchises will have a hard time reaching the NBA finals ... Read More

I just got done watching a piece on NFL.com about Albert Haynesworth and the situation down in DC. Shanahan offered Haynesworth a deal that if he wanted out of DC, they would be willing to trade him if he didn't take the 21 million roster bonus, but of course the selfishness that almost all NFL players harbor inside, has reared its ugly head again. Haynesworth knowing the situation and what the Redskins were offering him to get him out of DC, he still took the money and still wants out. The way ... Read More

After getting a brief peek at the NCAA 11 player ratings via the teambuilder website yesterday and speaking with Adam, I am impressed with the way EA has put it together this year. I really like how there is a bit of a difference between the ratings of a 1st string QB and the ratings of the 3rd string QB. One of the main problems that I had with NCAA 10 was that the player progression was pretty bad, and in some cases made it unplayable. Now with the gap between ratings, no longer will you have ... So with the demo out and having a solid day to play it, I thought that I would share my thoughts with everyone. The first thing that I absolutley love about the game so far is the locomotion. Absolutley amazing, and such an improvement over the last 2 years. As much of a die hard fan of the NCAA series as I am, the running motion in the series is something that has left a lot to be desired. This improvement alone has me more excited about playing the game than I have been in years past. The ... Read More

The best news I herd today is that the Big 12 is going to stay intact with the last remaining 10. I personally feel that this has saved college football. If the Big 12 dissolved it would have had a negative affect across all of college football. I won't go into too much on that, just check my previous blog entry. I formally applaud UT, OU, and Texas A&M for not jumping ship and leaving one of college football's most prestigious conferences in shambles. Although I dislike UT and OU as a fan, ... Read More

I am a college football purest and hearing that the big 12 might dissolve really disappoints me as a fan. The Big 12 is not a small market or a weak conference, it is a powerhouse of a conference that if dissolved, would leave a black mark on college football. If Texas and Oklahoma leave then not only would the other teams struggle to find a home, but I believe will hurt all small other small programs. There are teams like TCU, Utah, and Boise St. that already have a though time getting to a ... Read More

This was just posted on ESPN. Here is Vince Young getting himself a class C assault charge. I have had it with the NFL and its players. There are very few players that I would want my child to look up to. I barley watch the NFL as it is. In my house, my children will grow up watching collegiate sports not professional. In college sports the players play for the name on the front of the jersey, not the back.
